Jubilee Play-off Competition

Kirby vs Feildians


No surprises in opening games of Jubilee Play-offs

In the opening game of the 2009 Jubilee Play-offs, played in St.John's and in Mount Pearl, there were no surprises. The heavily favorite 1st place Kirby team easily defeated the 2nd place Feildians team by a 3-0 score. It was the shut-out goal tending of Janine Bursey and goals from Laura Breen, Nicole Adams and Heather Williams which advanced the Kirby team to the final.

While out in Mount Pearl, at the Upper
Smallwood Soccer field, it was goals from Fiona Curtis and Aofie Bodman that led Mt. Pearl to a 2-0 victory over Holy Cross team in the Jubilee 3rd-4th place game. Mount Pearl will now meet Feildians in a semi- final match scheduled for 4 pm Saturday at Feildians grounds

Semi - Final Jubilee Action

It was a 1-0 victory for Feildians against Mount Pearl in semi -final action on Saturday. Pam Reid scored Feildians lone goal at 10 minutes and it was Laura Pittman recording the shut-out. The Feildians will now go up against the heavily favorite Kirby Team in the Provincial Championship Game. The game has been rescheduled, due to rain on Sunday, to Monday evening at Feildian Grounds at 5:30 pm.
