Feildians play St. Lawrence on Saturday
Could be a very interesting game in Molson Challenge Cup on Saturday. The double blues travel to St. Lawrence to play the Laurentians in a 3 PM afternoon matinee. The Feildians are the leagues, " Most Improved" team and their association are a strong contender for the NLSA, "Most Improved Organization."
Question - Do the Feildians have the Laurentians Number ?
The Feildians defeated the Laurentians three out of four times last year in regular season play. They shocked St. Lawrence when they defeated the Laurentians in the 2012 semi-finals. In the Feildians opening match this season against the Laurentians the Feildians blew an early first half 2-0 lead, before giving up a late goal,at the 90 minute mark, to allow the Laurentians to earn a draw.
Laurentians - 1st overall
The Laurentians, at this point, in the season are undefeated and are in top place in the overall standings. Saturday's match should be a real challenge for both clubs. The Laurentians will need to make a statement to the Feildians. While the Feildians need to prove to themselves and show their critics that this club is for real and that their going to the finals in 2012 was not just a one time wonder.
